First and foremost, thank you for taking the time visit….means the world to me! My name is Charmae Martin & my passion for food and cooking has NO boundaries. After much time and contemplation, I have decided to share my passions for recipes, family fun tips and money saving ideas for the world to see. Born and raised in NY but transplanted to the South has given me a diverse appreciation for all types of cuisine and expanded my palate! Thanks to my mother whom is a North Carolina native with years of cooking experience, I have a lot of recipes passed down from generations to share with you.
Fast forward years later, I become a transplant AGAIN to the Bay Area (moved in 2010) and had a difficult time making ends meet after giving birth to my two sunshines! With that said, I had to rethink a lot of meals and find ways for us to save money while staying in the most EXPENSIVE PLACE TO RAISE A FAMILY. IT WAS UNREAL OUT THERE YALL.
After Covid hit the Bay Area hard, we made the conscientious decision to move back to our hometown of Calabash, North Carolina and I have never been happier to be home! Now that we are BACK BABY, I want to show you all that Myrtle Beach, South Carolina has to offer and more! I cannot WAIT to share all the money saving tips, kid friendly activities, recipe updates and more with everyone!!!
I am a firm believer in the notion that just because we have kids now doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be able to enjoy the fruits of our labor and have a good time while parenting. Wherever you may land in life, I promise there are an array of activities you can find for cheap or free of cost and that’s what ya girl over here is FOR!
